Desktop wipeout

Hello there. So I wanted to try this game and i saw that the beta testing is on. So I downloaded launcher and started to update it. After some time I realised that I wasn't updating launcher for the interlude reworked but for some gracial finals game. So I canceled and clicked on the Interlude reword then started to update. Some error popped up and when i hit ok the screen flashed and suddenly almost all of my folder documents from my desktop disappeared and some programs too. I tried to recover it using different techniques but nothing worked.. and now all of my documents are lost. Does anyone know something about it?

We never got such reports from players. Our updaters only affect game files when you specify path to a folder and always checks for exact file names. Updater can't wipe your files for no reason. First of all check your Recycle Bin for the files, or do System Restore.

I did all of that I tried like 7 ways of restoring or finding lost datas but none of them succeeded. These's one thing that it might be. My disk was kinda full and not all of my desktop files were lost. Some of them are still here. It feels like it choose.. don't know. So maybe it made a space by it self? Probablly not. Now I'm afraid of trying it again even so that I wanted to play that game very much.
